MILWAUKEE — Kelsey Otero, senior director of community engagement in the Office of University Relations at Marquette University, was appointed to the board of directors for the International Town and Gown Association at the organization’s annual meeting, June 8, in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Michigan State University’s Community Relations team received the International Town and Gown Association, or ITGA, Presidential Excellence Award for their partnership with the East Lansing community in the aftermath of the violence the Michigan State University community experienced Feb. 13. They received this award at this year’s 2023 ITGA City & University Relations Conference.

ITGA Addresses Growing Housing Challenges

College communities, in particular, bring a unique set of challenges for providing suitable housing for employees and students, as evidenced by the frequent requests for guidance to the International Town and Gown Association (ITGA), the only non-profit focused on both campus and community relations.
