Along with 25+ years as a student affairs practitioner, Todd has been actively involved in community boards including Habitat for Humanity of Portage County, Main Street Kent, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and the Rotary Club of Kent (Ohio). Todd has been a youth and adult volleyball coach with Junior Olympic clubs, high school, junior college, and Division I college. Todd is currently working towards a Ph.D. on the topic of commuter student sense of belonging.
Todd has been a member of ITGA since 2015. He’s completed ITGA’s Certificate I and Certificate II (twice), and has presented at ITGA’s international conference on topics including successful town & gown partnerships, large-scale campus & community safety event preparation and response, being an introvert practitioner, canvassing in the community, sexual misconduct on campus and in the community, and more. Todd was part of a collective of Ohio ITGA members who organized several state-wide conferences, including hosting one in the City of Kent & Kent State University in 2019.
